Kick off

Start sharing what you have found.  I've included tabs to organize strands of comments.

  1. We enjoyed the vocabulary games (for the most part) and the interactive "reading" of text online. We found the background information and videos helpful, as well as the "connect" pieces.

We probably will not use all of the available resources (especially the vocabulary music/songs), but this will help us differentiate instruction, have common assessments, and meet the needs of students.

We also believe this can be used as a "textbook at home" for students who are absent.

There is nothing "supplemental" because everything on the site can be found in the text (except videos). It also seems to lack in engaging ideas and creative activities that will hold students' interests.

We would also like to see more ideas/activities for GT students.

  2. Several of our links were not found, so it limited some of what we wanted to see. We noticed that there wasn't much difference between on level/below level and ELL except in vocab on ours.

    Cool tool.-Scott

  3. Just so you know, I am reading and keeping up with this blog. I am disappointed to hear that you do not feel there are extentions for our GT students. I will begin to look through the program more closely. My "other" district did not adopt this program, so I need to get up to speed on this program as soon as possible. Thank you all for posting. It will be a great source for me as we begin working on curriculum.
